Reason to Celebrate

2009
08.18

The day I moved to KL from Sitiawan with only a small, blue travelling bag. That was 1st January 2000. Everything was prepared. My brother found me a place to stay (although I moved out one day later for some reason) and got me my first Alcatel Handphone. My then boyfriend, now aka Hubby Panda registered me at Stamford College and took me out for meal every day. And walked me home with a Dutch Lady Chocolate Milk every night when I shifted near to his place.

Unlike those outstation college freshies who tried hard to adapt to KL life, I am glad I don’t have to go through all these trauma.

However, though it may sound pampering, it does gave some impact of my life now. I wish I could be more independent. Albeit I had improved a lot.

1) Until now, I can’t find my way back to Sitiawan (my home town). Never tried to drive home alone before.

2) Until now, whenever for some known reasoned I got a car summon, Hubby Panda will be the one to take the hassle to JPJ office to settle for me.

3) Until now, my car release letter is still with bank. Waiting for Hubby Panda to bring me there to collect it..

4) Until now, I can’t settle important government documentation by myself. E.g. Income Tax.

5) Until now, at times I can’t go shopping alone as I might get Panic Attack out of the sudden. Haha.. Fear. Got this fear 3 years ago. Why? dunno.. -_-

6)  I use to wait for Hubby Panda to pump my car petrol and tyre air as I don’t know how to do it in my early 2 years of getting my first car. And, yahoo.. I can do it now. rolled eye…

WAIT!!! That’s too much to reveal here… better stop here.

BUT, I am glad that in my working life I had been very independent so far. Ehem.. at least I felt comfortable at my work place.

I really wish that one day I can be more Independent. And eagerly waiting for that day to arrive. Glad for the support given by family and Hubby Panda. Should the day come, I will be celebrating. It will be a day of myself. It will be the day where I can do all things by MYSELF with the guidance of GOD. I am going to make it MY day.

I will declare an Independence Day of Clumsypanda.

And will be proud of it. MERDEKA!!!

But, in the other case, it was a sad scene here. Another 13 days to Malaysia’s Independence Day, there were few flags seen on road and building. No patriotic songs heard.

Unlike those years, cars were filled with flags, too much that it could blocked the drivers view and every where there were a Merdeka Song- “Tanggal 31 Bulan 8, 57.. Merdeka Merdeka..”  but now, it seems to be so cold.

Malaysian need to learn to value Independence Day. To know the stories behind our Independent. Then, it will be a memorable event just like me ANTICIPATING for my Independence Day. For those who had forgotten the Real Stories on Independence Day, don’t ask me. Refer back to your buku sejarah. (History Book) lol..

HAPPY 52th Independence Day, Malaysia!!

Yeah.. yeah.. I know it was not mine. Mine already past many years ago. But, can’t I just wear it for a shot?!! Not nice meh?

In actual, it was my youngest brother graduation day yesterday. Too bad. I cant attend his convocation. :( Due to my frequent absent from office nowadays because of MC and mid year holiday. So, I better keep a low profile at the moment.

Smart right?

Anyhow, we had a dinner celebration yesterday at Klang- Sekinchan Restaurant. Yeap. You heard me right. It was a Klang, not in Sekinchan. The real Sekinchan, located at Sabak Bernam- is well known for their seafood also. I kinda miss the crab mee which I had at Sekinchan many many years ago.. Drooling when I think of it. As it was the best crab mee I tasted so far. Gonna plan my trip there again on my next trip back to home town.

Crab egg.. (So so nice)

Overall, I kinda find the food was normal EXCEPT FOR THE CRAB (it was DELICIOUS) and the price was reasonable. I don’t quite sure the place location but, it is beside Klang famous Yu Yu Ping (Yu yu ice). Gonna go back for the crab again next time.

Happy Graduation Day, Brother!!

Tang Chao Cafe

Hubby Panda Laptop bag’s strap broke off yesterday resulted the bag to drop on the floor and the  pity laptop cracked a bit. Results of not enough padding inside the bag. Lucky the laptop still can be used.

So, we went to the nearest place from our house yesterday night,  Digital Mall to get him a new bag. And, at the same time intend to take this opportunity to get myself one too.. But… failed.. I couldn’t found a PINK colour or RED colour one..  Sad. When Hubby Panda asked the sales girl whether they had pink colour bag or not, she told him there do have mickey mouse one. HELLLLLOOOO!!! Did I look like I am still young? erm.. if yes.. thank  you. Sad. Shall find time to go Low Yat Plaza again. But, Hubby Panda managed to get himself a black one. Biasalah.. (Normal) Guy will go for black.

Since we were there, we had our dinner beside Digital Mall at Tang Chao Cafe. It was a partially self service restaurant as we had to queue up at the counter, ordered our food, paid our money, be seated and the food will be served to you after that. I don’t quite like this kind of patially self service cafe. What if I come alone, order my food, and can’t find a place to sit? Does that mean I have to sit on the floor with my food?

I patroned this cafe for few times before and lucky that I don’t have to come alone each time. We ordered Herbal Chicken Rice and Spring rolls.  eye rolling.. Hubby panda and me ordered same food. Except for our drink. I had barley (RM 2.50) and he had Barley lime (RM2.80)

Herbal Chicken Rice RM8.oo

The Herbal Chicken Rice tasted good. The herb was not too strong and not too mild – just nice. And the meat was tendered enough. However, it was best to eat while still hot. Not so nice when it got cold. So, do eat fast.

130809-(1)

Spring Rolls RM4.00

The spring rolls was not so good. Not recommended. Cause the oil smell was too strong. And the vege was tasteless. I tried to dip in soy sauce, but tasted not good. And I even tried to dip at chilli sauce but, tasted not good either. Disappointed.

Other reconmended food there was Sambal Sotong Rice where they served in a special wooden bowl, spagethi and burger. They had variety of food from Chinese Food to western food. Overall, it was a good place with a reasonable price.

Will  definitely go there again to try other food.

Don’t play play.. He who dare to bully me should be wary of my precious niece…

Fuyoh!! The instructor looks so young!!

Haha.. Kidding..  Well, she received her first Taekwando Certificate last week where she had completed her white belt. Based on www.talktaekwondo.co.uk  a white belt (10 kup) significant the innocence of the beginner and his ignorance of Taekwondo.

Each belt has a different colour with its own symbolic meaning.

  • White Belt (10th Kup) – as above.
  • White Belt with Yellow Stripe (9th Kup)
  • Yellow Belt (8th Kup) – Yellow represents the earth, from where a plant takes root and sprouts as the foundations of Taekwondo are laid.
  • Yellow Belt with Green Stripe (7th Kup)
  • Green Belt (6th Kup) – Green signifies the plant itself as, like a plant, the student’s Taekwondo skills continue to grow.
  • Green Belt with Blue Stripe (5th Kup)
  • Blue Belt (4th Kup) – Blue represents the heavens above, the divine direction in which the plant is growing.
  • Blue Belt with Red Stripe (3rd Kup)
  • Red Belt (2nd Kup) – Red signifies danger, warning the student of his own capability for damage and other students of his skill.
  • Red Belt with Black Stripe (1st Kup)

When a student reaches Black Belt (1st Dan) he is considered to be a senior. Black is the opposite of white and therefore signifies the student’s maturity and skill. It also signifies his mastery over darkness - that he is no longer afraid of evil or fear itself. From here on in the belts no longer change colour. (Kinda like this sentence)

Well, just a bit of taekwando tips for sharing here..

I didn’t know much about taekwando however, I felt that self defence is very very much needed in today society. Danger can be right at the corner and we couldnt just depends on the policeman to do their job. We need to be street wise, be alert, take precaution for our own safety.

For example:-

1) I don’t feel safe walking on the street

2) I don’t feel safe everytime I go to Bank.. (asif I got a lot of money :(   )

3) I don’t feel safe when I drive with my bag at my passenger seat. (I will try to put the bag at the closest to me possible)

4) I don’t feel safe to climb my condo stair case (It’s a good form of exercise ok)

5) I don’t feel safe walking at pasar malam (night market)- Pick pocketing

 6) (Recent case) I don’t feel safe going to cyber cafe anymore. (Heard that it was rated as Top 10 Dangerous place)

7) I don’t feel safe when a bunch of dogs are in front of me (Does this count?)

Am I being so Kiasi here huh?

Anyway, we wouldn’t know what we gonna do until we are face with the actual situation.

Ada gaya?

For some people, they were really brave enough to roll up their sleeves and fight the attacker. But, for some, it was like the spirit left for seconds. I was in the later category. Only regretted after that and promise myself that I will be smarter next time. Of course I hope it will not happen again..

So, since I did not have any self defence skills, and tying a black belt around my big waist will not scare off the attacker, what I need are a few things to be carried with me always..

Sabre 3 In 1 Spray Pocket with Clip Image

pepper spray (Mine already spoilt.. need to get a new one soon) At the moment, please don’t attack me.. :(

Coolpix S70 Camera. so that I can capture the attacker image and blog it :P

and last of all..

fisherman friend..

SO THAT I GOT A VOICE TO SHOUT BETTER!! (As in the ROTIIIIIIIIIII Ad) Kidding

The other day, as I drove mom to Exchange’s Hair Salon at Cheras to get her hair done, I decided to bring my sister and beloved niece along so that my niece could played at the playground at the Mc Donald nearby while waiting for mom. Knowing that she will be taking her sweet few hours time at the salon.

 080809-(4)

However,  after my niece finished her Happy Meal and twisted and turned with her Free Happy Meal Toys, she reluctant to go in to the playground. Not that we were very far away from the playground. We just seated next to the playground. But, some how rather, she just don’t want to play.

080809-(5)

Why? What happened to my six year old niece?

080809-(3)

Look like her interest is on my pc

And, look what she was up to..

080809-(6)

Facebook Pet Society. lol..

She played with the game and at the same time taught me how to play. (As I am not a game “fans”, I just nodded my head when she explained).. She spend the whole time there playing with the game. Some of the conversation goes this way

Conversation 1:

Niece: Yi yi (that’s how she call me), your pet house only have 3 rooms..

Me:  Then, you go and earn money for yi yi my bigger house lo, bao bei (precious) (That’s how I call her)

Niece: I cannot earn money for yi yi one.

Me: Then, how yi yi want to earn money.

Niece: Yi yi need to play everyday lol.

Conversation 2:

While she played skipping rope with her friend’s pet..

Me: (While looking at her) Bao Bei, your friend’s pet hungry already. No energy jump. Why don’t you feed her pet.

Niece: (Reluctantly answer) nnnnmm (Pampered sound)… I want SAVE money BUY things one..

Me: But, she hungry already. You must learn to share.

Niece: Ok lorrrrrr… (while clicking on the food and let her friend’s pet eat)

According to my sister, she will throw tantrum if the facebook game were not able to on. She will also constantly asked her mom on why yi yi didn’t play games.

And not only that, just when you saw my 6 years old niece on pc, look at below picture.
