Island Of Food- Penang

Ask the Malaysian and they will tell you that Penang was famous for leng jai (handsome boy) opps.. once upon a time but now, I am  not sure about it. lol (No offence Penang guys) good FOOD with CHEAP price. I went there together with Hubby Panda & Parents in law last week merely to walk walk, see see, eat eat.

Komtar – trade mark of Penang

I definitely ate a lot when I was there. Not wanted to miss any good food around. And definitely didnt realised if there any leng jai around as my eye focus very much on FOOD.. (say with serious tone) lol

Restaurant Bawah Pokok (under tree)

Well known for their fastest cooking restaurant in Penang..

Pork Knuckle

Yew Char Kuey with Mayonnaise

Sour spicy soup

Fried Chicken Wings

Fried Fish

Fried Oyster

True enough it was fast as the food was served 10 minutes after we placed the order. And the price for all the above including drinks and snacks was RM69.00. Duh…cheap.. However, it wasnt the famous Penang food

Gurney Drive- Located beside Gurney Plaza

When we talked about Penang, the below food will be at the TOP chart.. (based on Clumsypanda Chart)

Asam Laksa

Char Kuey Tiao (Fried Kuey Tiao)

Hock Kien Mee (Prawn Noodle)

Fried Oyster

Ikan Bakar (grilled fish)

Cockle

Chicken, cheese sausages, ham, bacon

and desert..

Chendol

Even Phua Chu Kang & Rosie can’t resist..

Told you

AND..

On our way back to Petaling Jaya, Hubby Panda stopped for DURIAN session at Sitiawan..

Can’t accept the smell.. Sorry Durian Lover..

And I managed to eat Kam Pua from Sitiawan also..

Sitiawan Famous Kam Pua

It was a place worth a visit if you LIVE to EAT.. :P

And until now I cant figure out what is the extra numbers shown on my weighing machine. :(

When Clumsypanda on Holiday..

Never in my life that I imagined that I would be hiding in a toilet together with Hubby Panda as self protection..  (just like in movie with no door to escape).. lol

While we were at Sitiawan last Saturday, we stopped at cyber cafe before continued our journey to Penang. Just merely 10 minutes at the cyber cafe, we got a shocked when a man walked in with a long parang and was quarreling with a guy beside us. So, a normal reactioned, I ran for my life and was at dead end when I found the back door was locked. Pale and in fainting mood, I suggested to Hubby that we hide in the toilet.

Sweating cold. We stayed in the toilet for a while until Hubby Panda decided to walk out to have a look at outside environment. (So brave of him) And then, the troublemaker was nowhere to be seen. I didnt know what happened after that. We paid and went off and I told Hubby I am not going to cyber cafe anymore. As it was already 2nd time I encountered this incident.

The first incident happened during Chinese New Year (at different cyber cafe) where a dad came in, took off his shoes and started beating his son and scolded us for being at cyber cafe. Then, I heard sound of glass broken.. allow me to give him a super blur look..Salah siapa? (whose fault?) His son addiction was the fault of cyber cafe owner?

The moral of the story is ..

a) always carry parang with you

b) always carry a longer parang with you

c) subscribe to wireless broadband (can online anywhere I like with my laptop)

MR BEAN   CLUMSYPANDA ON HOLIDAY.. Will be back next week..

BUT, WAIT WAIT… before that,  I have something to share here..

KFC did not pay me for this advertisement. But, if they want, I dont mind.. hi hi..

For those of you who love cheese, fall in love with cheese, can’t live without cheese, as much as Jerry (as in Tom and Jerry) love cheese, .. ITELYOU, this is for you..

YOU WONT REGRET (at least I don’t). The new KFC product CheezyChickaroni was so good and even better when it was still hot. Once I had my first bite of it, oh mind.. I was flying..

look at the amount of cheese all over macaroni

and flying and still flying.. until reality set in. It make me FAT. Hate it.

Ok. Tata..

So much like I was at Japan..

Bon Odori was a Japanese annual celebration that was organized by The Japan Club of KL, the Japanese School of Kuala Lumpur and the Japan embassy and was held at Panasonic Sports Complex in Shah Alam.

So good of Williams for coming back all the way from Singapore for this event..  As I told him “you go, i go”.. :P

I didnt know much about this event previously , but what I heard before was only there were a lots of Japanese Food and open air dance. For me, I just wanna eat and took photo of the event. But, I got to know that day that it was an event that welcome ancestral spirits who are believed to journey from heaven to visit the earthly realm.. oopps… scratched head.

Yes.. Indeed there were a lot of food sold on that day.. (drooling…wipe wipe..)

Sushi King with the mini stall.. cute..

Nice sotong.. (squid)

Japanese green tea ice cream.. Sooo good.

Of course there were lots more we ate on that day. but, too bad, I didnt managed to take the photo of the food. I was busy eating.. So?

The dancing began..

However, i didnt joint the dance. I was busy chatting with the pink lady..

Everyone, this is pink lady, Alice. As much as I love PINK, I think she love it much much much more than me.. huahahahaha..

Clumsypanda with Williams (middle) and Tan. Pardon me for lack of “colouring” (make up) my face nowadays.. Lazy ma.. And my natural look not nice meh? :(

We left early and proceeded to our second session for drink after that and reached home past midnight.. i enjoyed myself on that day, especially enjoyed the food, enjoyed the time gathered with friends.. And, Williams is now back to Singapore already.. :(
