A visit to FRIM
30th May 2009
Forest Research Institute Malaysia or better known as FRIM is located at Kepong. It is one of Malaysia’s oldest tropical flora and fauna with good facilities for nature lovers and outdoor activities. Hubby Panda and me decided to pay a visit there since we got nothing to do during the weekend. Furthermore, I had heard a lot about this place and in fact had planned for this trip for quite some time.
And, hooray!! Finally I managed to see the WATERFALL that everyone had been talking about.. Err.. not everyone la.. I was just exaggerating. I guess a lot of people did not know this place. Blah!!
We started our journey at 5 pm on that day and called Mice Ling’s hubby for the direction. We reached the place around 45 minutes later and decided to drive in as the waterfall was located quite far from the entrance. The fees per entry was RM3 per person. Along the way, I could see a lot of people jogged and doing their exercising activities there. Me? Still imagining and fantasizing a beautiful, big waterfall that we were heading to.
But, I was kinda dissapointed when we reached the place. It was a small waterfall. Smaller than the one I went at Cameron Highland. And, I could only see 2 families there. Not including the monkeys families. Ok
Initially, we intend to go up the top of the waterfall but half way I was chased by the monkey, who was walking towards me when I walked up. Maybe the monkey was attracted to me.. muah hahahaha. So, we have to abandon our plan. Haiz.. too bad. What to do? I am freaking scared of Monkey.. But, I heard the best scenary was at the top of the waterfall.
Maybe next time I shall come with monkey suit. Should I?
Small waterfall
I forgotten my tripod again.. So, this is the outcome.. Haiz..
Surounding the waterfall
We could picnic on the hut..
We stayed there for a while and of cause doing some photo shooting. Just walk around listening to the nature sound. Overall, the place was so so only for me. But, I do enjoy the fresh air and all the greenaries.
