My Clumsy Panda

Friday- 27th June 2008 , the DAY that I had been waiting for.

Hubby Panda and I went to Cameron Highlands for holiday. We started our journey around 10:30 a.m. however, due to my “clumsy-ness”, we had to return home again as I forgotten my jacket. Sigh!!! Luckily, we were just merely 10 minutes away from home.

I love the greenary of Cameron Highlands..

The journey to the hills takes approximately 3 hours from Petaling Jaya. However, we reached the hotel close to 3:00 pm. The reasons for the longer hour we took was because we stopped half way before Ringlet as I was excited to see the waterfall beside the road. So, off we went for photo taking. Other than that, we stopped again at Cameron Valley to have our Teh Tarik and cake. At the same time, enjoying the cool air and tea plantation below the cafe. I keep asking Hubby Panda why I CAN’T go down to the plantation. WHY?!!! Merajuk liao…

“I REALLY WANT TO GO DOWN TO PLUCK THE TEA LEAF!!!!”

After we checked in to the hotel (We stayed at Heritage Hotel). We rested for a while and then, headed to Brinchang to have Ice Cream. Yeah.. Famous strawberry ice cream.. However, mid way to Brinchang, Hubby Panda saw something he really really LOVE. And, I had to stand “few metres” away from him to avoid the smell. Hoooh… DURIAN..

Hubby Panda, now I declare you and Durian as lovers..

OK. Come back to the Strawberry Ice Cream. Though I don’t really like Strawberry, but, at least it look cute, smell nice and, NOT A BIT LIKE THE DURIAN K!!

After that, we headed down to CH Pasar Malam.

I especially like the Potato King as it was “unique”. The whole stick consist of only one neatly cut potato. It came with a few flavoring to choose. However, I can’t recalled what flavour they had. It was because once I heard the word “CHEESE”, I can’t remember anything already. Hi hi.. I felt so pampered.

The night market were merely selling Vegetables, Souvenirs, Steam Potato, Herbs Egg, Fried Vege. etc

After walking around the night market, we headed down again to Tanah Rata to have our dinner. We walked around and at last settle down at Mamak Restaurant.

We headed to Cyber Cafe after our dinner and was surfing there for 2 hours before we went back to Hotel.

Clumsypanda am now on holiday at Cameron Highlands with Hubby Panda. Reached here in the afternoon.. and was relaxing now at Internet Cafe, Tanah Rata. Will be here for the next 2 days.

I went to Bukit Tabur, Setapak for hiking last Sunday together with colleagues and friends. It was the 2nd time I climbed this hill. The first time was together with my housemate during my college time and it was yearsssss ago. (Pss.. I am not that old ok).

We started our journey at 6:30 am from my house… but, due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. Williams woke up late, road closure to the hill …) we only started to hike around 8 plus. We had Nazri as our guide as he was familiar with the hill. He even requested his mother in law to prepare breakfast for us. So nice of him.

Everything went well throughout the day except Miko lost her handphone and 2 people among us “chicken out”. Well, the 2 were Tan and Siew Bee as they decided to give up even before we started to hike. LOL… So, too bad. They left us and headed home.

I really enjoyed myself throughout the journey seeing all the nature that God’s created. Though it was tiring, but, I felt good. And, I really sweated out. And, the most important was it did not have leeches. Iakkss..

However, we did not manage to climb to the top as we were tired. But, LISTEN HERE.. WE WILL BE BACK SOON!!!

After hiking, and the guys had their bath, we headed to Restaurant Kari Kepala Ikan Rampai to have our lunch. The curry taste good. However, don’t ask me whether the seafood taste good or not. Cause.. I am once again Vegetarian.
